1. Controller

The party responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:

HOTEL VILLA NORD
Langenhorner Chaussee 115
22415 Hamburg
Germany

info@hotel-villanord.de

2. General information

The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively within the framework of the legal provisions (GDPR, BDSG, TDDDG). In this privacy policy we inform you about the type, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data on this website.

Personal data is all data with which you can be personally identified (e.g. name, email address or telephone number).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you access the website, the server automatically collects so-called server log files transmitted by your browser. These are: IP address, date and time of access, the page or file requested, the volume of data transferred, browser type and version, the operating system and the referrer URL.

This data is used for the technical provision, security and stability of the website and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and error-free operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with STRATO AG.

4. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" in the address bar and the lock symbol in your browser. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

5. Contacting us (enquiry form, email, telephone)

When you contact us via the enquiry form, by email or by telephone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message) in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.

The enquiry form sends your details by email to our mailbox (info@hotel-villanord.de); delivery takes place via the mail servers of STRATO AG. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing your enquiry).

Your data remains with us until the purpose of processing no longer applies – for example after your enquiry has been conclusively dealt with – or you request its deletion. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

6. Cookies

This website does not set any tracking or marketing cookies of its own and does not include any analytics tools. Only technically necessary data required for the operation of the site is processed. A consent banner is therefore not required.

Embedded third-party content (see the "Map service" section) may set its own cookies when the respective page is accessed.

7. Fonts (Google Fonts)

To display fonts consistently, this website uses Google Fonts, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you access a page, your browser loads the required fonts from Google's servers; in doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google. Transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a consistent and appealing presentation of our offer (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). For more information, please see Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

8. Map service (Google Maps)

On the "Location" page we embed map material from the Google Maps service (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When you access this page, the map is loaded from Google; in doing so, your IP address may be transmitted to Google, a transfer to the USA may take place and cookies may be set.

This is used in the interest of making our hotel easy to find and providing an appealing presentation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). For more information on how user data is handled, please see Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

9. External links (social media & booking system)

On our website we link to our profile on Instagram (provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland) and to WhatsApp (also Meta). These are simple links – content from the platforms is not embedded directly into our website.

Via the booking button on our room pages, you are taken to our external booking system, which is operated by CheckedInn GmbH. Only when you click this link are you redirected to the CheckedInn GmbH website; the data you enter there is processed in accordance with their privacy policy.

Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you actively click on one of these links. The privacy policy of the respective provider then applies.

10. Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period is mentioned within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for deletion or revoke your consent, your data will be deleted, unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law).

11. Your rights as a data subject

You have the right at any time to information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR).

Insofar as processing is based on your consent, you can revoke it at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact details listed above is sufficient.

12. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

In the event of breaches of data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: The Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany (https://datenschutz-hamburg.de).

13. Currency and changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy is currently valid. As our website develops or due to changed legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to amend this privacy policy. The current version can always be found on this page.
